This last week of term has been Biology Week, to focus our attention on the importance and wonder of living organisms and the science of life. The students have been using microscopes in the library during break and lunchtime to explore the world that cannot be seen with a naked eye. All staff and students have been completing surveys of which birds, insects and trees they can identify, and stating their favourites. We will let you know the outcome of that survey after half term. There is also a photography competition in honour of the late king His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej. His passion for photography, love of Thai nature, interest in biofuel technology and developing medical care are combined into the focus for this competition. We are inviting all students and parents to take photos over half term of any subject related to the world of biology. Please give your photo a title, then print and email to Dr Alex or Miss Amanda. There will be small prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Enjoy snapping your shots!
