On Saturday 7 December Dorm students engaged in a half-day workshop entitled 'Cooking and the Chemistry of Food' Both the boys' and girls' dorms spent some time in the laboratory looking at the deliciously fascinating science behind what we eat-thanks to Mr.
Peter for tailoring some innovative and fun weekend learning! They then went into the kitchen to focus on refining their developing cooking skills with Mr. Yohan. The menu chosen and cooked by the girls was: omelettes with ham, cheese and mushroom served with twice-cooked 'South London Cafe' chips. The boys decided to cook Sri Lankan chicken curry with parathas and papadoms. Their food was even complimented by our superb school chefs and canteen staff-so very well done to all involved! Thanks also to Mr Christian and Ms Nhoi for guiding our future culinary giants!
