Year 9 and Year 10 students visited the Wat Ratchaburana and Chao Sam Phraya National Museum in Ayutthaya on Wednesday 15 May. The students gaining an insight into the history of Ayutthaya and culture of Thailand. They will use their experience to help develop their IGCSE writing skills. In Wat Ratchaburana,the students learnt about its historical importance whilst at Phra Prang Wat Ratchaburana, they were amazed to find out about the important treasure trove of the King of Ayutthaya. Pictures and video footage will be used as the material for their presentations and provide stimulation for their IGCSE written work. The famous boat noodles of Ayutthaya went down a treat for lunch had boat noodles for lunch as did a variety of Thai desserts that they ‘tested’ at the Ban Khaonom cafe.
