On Saturday 20 April 2019, a team of primary and secondary students took part in a challenging international competition that was hosted locally at Anglo Singapore School in Korat. Five of the students participated in the Singapore and Asian Schools Maths Olympiad (SASMO)and three undertook the Vanda Science Competiton. Whilst we are still awaiting the science results, the mathematics results are out. The competitors all did extremely well and have been awarded certificates for their participation—well done to them all. Otto in Year 7 is due a special congratulations as he has achieved a bronze certificate and will now be one of only 30 students representing Thailand in the next stage of the competiton in Singapore in July. Let’s wish him good luck in advance at the Singapore International Mathematics Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC).
