Innovedex Robotics Competition
St. Stephen’s Year 10 robotics team and friends joined the Innovedex Robotic Competition Thailand 2019 at Debsirin School on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August 2019. Over 350 teams applied for the competition. Of these, only 75 teams were accepted and our St. Stephen’s team was one of them! We spent the whole Saturday in workshops training. We covered mechanics, electronics and software. On Sunday; the competition day, the team were invited to write an Arduino program to control the Arduino board and move the assembled car to kick the ball into the goal. With great determination and cooperation by our team, we successfully achieved our goal by programming our car to move forward and touch the ball. We had a great time and feel confident to develop our useful Arduino program and other skills such as communication, teamwork, problem solving and more. Significantly, taking part in this opportunity gives us new experiences and challenges. The project will continue at St. Stephen’s After School Activity Robotic Club every Tuesday this term.
