Mission Accomplished!
Our Year 6 scientists successfully dropped eggs from a great height without breaking a single one. Using a variety of materials they safely landed their precious cargo intact. Balloons, parachutes, soft packaging, string and tape were used to protect eggs from making a mess.
It was all part of the IPC unit Mission To Mars. Students were invited to design landing craft that space engineers themselves might use to land expensive cargo on the surface of Mars.
Enjoyable experimenting and an exciting final event made for rewarding learning.
