On March 14th six boys from Year 6 and Year 7 flew to Phuket for two action-packed days of 3 on 3 basketball. There were ten teams in the tournament so the boys had their work cut out for them. The Year 7 boys team of Otto, Airbus, Tangtae and Puth won two games and tied two games. Their final game was for the bronze medal against St. Andrew’s Bangkok, but they came up just short against a very strong team. They finished the tournament with a very commendable 4th place finish! The Year 6 team of Ten, Bin and two other players from the host British International School Phuket, won three games and tied one, which was good for a respectable eighth place finish. Otto entered the shooting competition and made it to the finals. The shooting competition finals was decided in an exciting double overtime. The other player shot a perfect six for six on his shots to take the medal home, with Otto as runner-up. The boys have improved a great deal through hard work and consistent practising. Mr Paul and Mr Geoffrey never dreamed they could be this good! Well done to them all.
