SISKY’s 2018 World Book Week, which began Monday 5th March and ended on Friday 9th March, proved to be an extremely colourful event with students coming to school dressed as book characters on the final day. Throughout the week, as well as composing poems and short stories, students from each key stage and teachers read extracts from their favourite books; these were recorded and played during assembly on the final day, to form the listening part of the World Book Day Quiz. On that day, awards were given out to the winners and runners-up for the best costume, the best poem, the best short story and the best quiz contestant. The students eagerly participated in all the events and now are counting the days down until the next World Book Week.
