5LD investigated the difference between mass and weight in their IPC lesson and discussed ways in which they could conduct an experiment. They measured five objects from around the classroom and weighed them using a scale and newton metre. The children concluded that the mass will always stay the same, however the weight could change depending on the amount of gravity. The budding scientists also discovered that the mass in kg of an object is x10 the weight when using newtons to measure.
