We recently celebrated the annual Wai Kru ceremonies, a cherished tradition at our school. On Thursday, 19th September, both Primary and Secondary students, along with all the teaching staff, participated in meaningful events, followed by Early Years on Friday, 20th September.
In the Primary and Secondary Years, students from Years 3-13 showcased their creativity in the Flower Tray Contest, crafting beautiful and heartfelt flower trays with their classmates. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and teamwork as they created these special offerings.
The ceremonies also featured wonderful singing performances, including a choir from all Years 5 and 6 students and a solo by Mai, a Sixth Form student, in the Primary and Secondary ceremonies. The Early Years students joyfully participated in their performance as well. It was heartwarming to see the students come together to honour their teachers and embrace the cultural significance of Wai Kru.
