Visitors from PAWS and Operation Smile

Nov 05 2019

Last Friday, 1st November, we invited representatives from two of the wonderful charities we support at St. Stephen's to visit us at school. The students in both the Primary and Secondary schools chose the charities PAWS and Operation Smile as beneficiaries of our School Fair this year, and so representatives came into assemblies to talk to the students about who they are, what they do and how they would appreciate and use any money raised by the St. Stephen's community at the School Fair. PAWS talked about the wonderful work they do with cats, and other animals,; rescuing them, vaccinating and nursing them back to health, and finally putting them up for fostering and adoption. Operation Smile told us about the fantastic work they do for children with cleft palates and other facial deformities, and how their lives have changed as a result. You will be able to find out more about these important charities, and meet them at our school fair on Saturday 16th November.
