Reception learnt all about The Beach

Last week the children in Reception learnt all about The Beach. We read stories and information books. We discussed how we affect the beach, the ocean and sea life, and how we can help protect them. The children created their own beach scenes using natural resources, and built their own additions using construction resources such as Lego.  They made many different crafts, completed some beach themed maths activities, and some children even wrote their own book in phonics about what they see, hear and find when they go to the beach.
