Operation Smile visited

At the start of December, the Year 1 children were visited by Dean from their charity partner Operation Smile. Dean gave a lovely presentation and talked to the children about the valuable work that Operation Smile carry out around Thailand. The Year 1 children raised some money for Operation Smile this week by creating ' Magic Toy Shops' in their classrooms. As part of their IPC Exit Point, the children made some 'magic' optical illusion toys to sell to children in years 2 and 3. They also showed them how to play with the board games they had designed as part of their learning in IPC. All the customers were very happy and the Year1 children did a great job of raising money, helping children around Thailand smile : )
