KS3 production

Nov 01 2024

On Wednesday 30 November, the Jane Eyre production took place. It used the classic novel as an inspiration in devising scenes, and in creating original lyrics and songs. The play was split into three acts, marking Jane’s coming-of-age.  Year 8 focussed on Jane (played by Adele) as a young girl at Gateshead, living with her aunt and cousins, and literally having the book thrown at her! Year 9 concentrated on the time Jane (played by Pattie) spent at Lowood School, after leaving her aunt’s house. Finally, Year 10 covered the time when Jane (played by Nada) ends up working for Mr Rochester at Thornfield Hall, as a governess for his ward, Adele. The performance ended with an inspiring song penned by Bam and her Year 10 band. The students performed extremely well, and it was a pleasure to once again see how talented our St. Stephen's students are!
