Chinese New Year 2024

February 10, 2024 was Chinese New Year, and this year is the Year of the Dragon. The dragon is a majestic and auspicious creature in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery, creativity, and innovation.
On Friday 9 February St. Stephen's students participated in cultural experiences rich in Chinese New Year flavour, such as paper cutting, dragon masks, sachets, sugar paintings, and pot throwing (tóu hú) . Students felt the charm of Chinese culture and celebrated the Chinese New Year together. The students also presented Chinese songs and dances to express their love for the Chinese festival. 

2024年2月10日是中国传统的春节，今年是龙年。龙是中国民间传说中一种威严吉祥的生物，象征着勇敢、创造力和创新。
今年圣史蒂芬国际学校为学生准备了剪纸、龙面具、香囊、糖画、投壶等富有年味的文化体验活动，让学生感受中华文化魅力，共同庆祝中国新春佳节。
同时学生也准备了中国歌舞来表达自己对中国节日的喜爱。
