St. Stephen’s students have once again achieved very strong results in their IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations in the June 2022 session.
Year 11
At IGCSE, 51% of grades awarded were A*- A.
Of particular note were:
• Leo, achieving 8 A* and 1 A, as well as a grade A in AS Mathematics
• Murfin, also achieving 8 A* and 1 A, as well as a grade A in AS Mathematics
• Ghan with 7 A* and 2 A grades.
Success in English Language underpins success in all subjects, and the June results support that premise. All students in Year 11 took the First Language English examination, achieving 50% A*-A grades, and 95% A*-B grades, with a 100% pass rate.
Year 12
At AS Level, 44% of grades awarded were the highest; grade A.
Of particular note were:
• Jie Hua, with 4 A grades, as well as A* in A Level Mathematics a year early.
• Rainna, with 4 A grades, as well as A* in A Level Mathematics
• Beck, with 4 A grades, as well as A in A Level Mathematics.
• Stephie, with 4 A grades and 1 B
• Mik, with 4 A grades.
Year 13
At A Level, grades were also excellent, with 34% of the grades awarded at A* and 40% A*- A.
Of particular note were:
• Mickey, with 4 A* grades
• Mook S, with 4 A* grades
• Mok, with 3 A* and 1 A grades
• Cartoon, 3 A* and 1 A grades
• Por, who achieved 3 A* and 1 A grades
Mathematics
Several students in Year 10 entered IGCSE Mathematics a year early; 80% achieved A* grades, with a 100% pass rate at A*- A, and Baibua achieving an incredible 100% in all of her papers.
Many students in Years 11 and 12 took their AS and A Level Mathematics examinations a year early. Year 11 AS results were: 50% at grade A and 100% A - B, and the Year 12 A Level results were 33% at grade A*, 67% A*-A, and 100% A*- B.

There were some outstanding individual performances, as good as any in the world; even the students who did not achieve top grades showed considerable progress in the time that they had been at the school.
