Our Reception children have been learning about environmental conservation in Thai class. They talked about their previous trips to Thailand's suburbs and how they enjoy being surrounded by nature. During the lesson they learned that King Rama IX was recognised as a good role model for Thai youth to plant trees to conserve our environment. Following the lesson, the children were asked to use their imagination to draw a picture of trees and the surrounding nature, or to make a model. The children had creative ideas for how to draw and colour pictures of the trees, as well as design and make beautiful trees. They were very inventive in using recycled materials, such as toilet rolls, to make trees and used a variety of materials from home to decorate their work pieces. From now on, they will be plant enthusiasts.
