To give our students the opportunity to participate in one of our traditional festivals, St. Stephen’s International School organised its annual Loy Krathong Celebration on Friday 30th November 2020.
Before Loy Krathong week. Early Years students had fun making their krathongs from natural materials and they also had Loy Krathong arts and crafts competition in Thai classes.
On the Loy Krathong Celebration Day, it was good to see our students and staff dressing up elegantly in traditional Thai costume and participating in the Loy Krathong celebration with joyful. Early Years students celebrated the Loy Krathong activities by starting with a Thai Costume Fashion Show. Children from each class showed their confidence walking in pairs with smiles. Students from Thai Dance Club showed their performance with the song “Dance of Prayer” “รำอธิษฐาน”. Teachers and students joined Rum Wong Loy Krathong together at the end of the celebration. Later, all the Early Years students floated their Krathongs.
It was a very memorable and cultural day for Early Years Loy Krathong Festival at school this year.
