As Key Stage 3 Manager I work alongside colleagues and parents to ensure the physical, emotional and social well-being of our students. St. Stephen’s students are lucky in that they can form close bonds with their tutors and other students in their form group due to small class sizes. It truly is a school where everybody knows everyone else. Form Tutors and Key Stage Managers are able to tailor pastoral care to individual students’ strengths and needs through regular meetings and individual mentoring sessions.
It is my pleasure to take a leading role in developing our students’ confidence, resilience and determination to work hard. In order to facilitate this we ensure that students feel happy and safe in school. We do this through close communication with all parties involved, especially parents, and by listening to and respecting the opinions of students. Confidential and sensitive issues are handled professionally by our pastoral team, the welfare of our students is always the priority.
We hope that all parents and carers of our students feel comfortable enough to contact their child’s Form Tutor or Key Stage Manager if they have any concerns or questions. We will always be happy to help.
